Loretta Luglio Original Paintings

Welcome to my world. I am a studio painter, working primarily in oils and pastel mediums. My goal in each painting is to encourage the viewer to participate in my artwork, by looking at the painting and imagining what the subject is thinking, or by simply creating a pleasant emotional response with the aesthetics of the painting. I enjoy adding more beauty to this world.

In my paintings I attempt to find a balance between impressionism and realism. I love the challenge of creating a realistic representation of a subject – be it an animal or natural moment, but there is also something I find beautiful about the painted texture. Through my art I strive to find a balance between the two. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any inquiries.

Many of the works on this website are available for sale. If you see a work you may be interested in or wish to have a commission quote, please contact me. I am available for both commercial and private commissions.

A variety of prints are also offered in many sizes. They are printed on a selection of archival papers, canvas, metal and acrylic surfaces. Matting and framing options are also available. Please go to the Art Cards and Prints page to few this large selection of prints, cards. Phone cases and throw pillow options are also available.

Portrait Commissions:

kyliemasterAn original hand painted portrait is a keepsake that will be handed down through generations. I work from high quality photographers.  I prefer to take the photos myself and discuss and choose the optimal ones for painting with the client.  I find a three-quarter view to be the best in most cases. A great photo does not always translate to the best pose for painting.  I can accept photos emailed providing they are clear, good resolution.

Price varies according to level of complexity, size and number of heads.  Each painting is unique.  I work in standard portrait sizes, starting at 11 x 14″. My oil portrait pricing starts at $300 for a small portrait (head and shoulders).
